About

Over the past 25 years, DEI strategies, initiatives, and training have driven progress across industries. Today, however, these efforts face unprecedented challenges. As policies and programs come under fire, the knowledge and insights gained by practitioners and participants must evolve into meaningful action. This is the final exam. It’s time for allies and leaders to move beyond rhetoric—to walk the talk, show, and prove their learning by putting it into practice.

This interactive roundtable invites participants to:

1. Discuss the most pressing DEI challenges at the top of your mind.

2. Share successful, enduring strategies, initiatives, and key talking points to support leadership engagement across the clean energy sector.

3. Explore actionable strategies for sustaining DEI work through the lens of belonging and engagement, ensuring progress continues despite shifting political landscapes.

Join us for an open and honest conversation about how the clean energy sector can lead by example and demonstrate a steadfast commitment to DEI through action, resilience, and impact.

Guest Speaker Nicole Miller

Dr. Nicole Miller is a passionate educator, DEIB advocate, and workforce development leader who believes in the transformative power of education. With over 25 years of experience, she has dedicated her life to breaking barriers, fostering inclusive learning environments, and building pathways that connect education with real-world career opportunities.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Miller, earned her Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Northeastern University, where she explored how cultural competence prepares graduates for the workforce. She turned this research into action by founding ECG Development, an organization dedicated to dismantling systemic barriers and ensuring equitable workforce opportunities. Now, ECG is collaborating with New Ecology Incorporated, a Boston-based sustainability leader, to build a workforce development initiative that bridges environmental responsibility with career sustainability—empowering individuals and communities to thrive.
