NECEC is pleased to announce the addition of four new NECEC board members with three additions to the Northeast Clean Energy Council Board of Directors and one addition to the NECEC Institute Board of Directors. These board members bring decades of expertise in clean energy, entrepreneurship, finance, strategy and technology, and their leadership in driving innovation and clean energy solutions across local, regional, and international markets will be an invaluable resource for NECEC as we continue our work growing the clean energy economy in the Northeast.

The new board members were voted in during a meeting of the NECEC Board of Directors on October 22. They include:

NECEC Board

H.G. Chissell, Founder and CEO of Advanced Energy Group, a quarterly stakeholder engagement platform designed for leaders and organizations committed to systemic change on energy, equity, and resilience. Advanced Energy Group works with the Boston Mayor's Office, the cities of Cambridge, Chicago, New York City, and Washington, D.C., leaders in the Caribbean, and more than 50 companies, utilities, and organizations that understand the importance of effective, inclusive collaboration to achieve systemic change. Previously, Chissell served as Senior VP of Strategic Accounts for Viridity Energy, a software/service firm focused on virtual power generation and advanced energy optimization, where he led the company’s strategic expansion throughout 15 states. Chissell serves as co-chair of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee for the New York Energy Consumers Council and leadership council member for the American Association of Climate Change Officers. He graduated from Swarthmore College, studied architecture at Drexel University, and is LEED AP accredited.

Gregory King is an entrepreneur and innovator with more than 25 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and executive management of technology-focused businesses. He is currently the Managing Director of TSK Energy Solutions LLC, a Minority Business Enterprise focused on delivering energy innovations to commercial buildings. At TSK Energy Solutions, Greg’s work is focused on the application of the internet of things, network control systems, and artificial intelligence in next-generation building automation systems, including advanced lighting systems and cloud-based software for autonomous building operations. He is a director at Roxbury Community College Foundation and was instrumental in the creation of the college’s Center for Smart Building Technology, which aims to prepare the skilled workforce needed to achieve the City of Boston’s goal of carbon neutrality by 2050. He is also active in driving energy transformation solutions in Puerto Rico and recently organized an Energy Advisory Council to support InvestPR, a division of Puerto Rico’s Department of Economic Development and Commerce. Previously, Greg was the CEO for Elcom International, a provider of cloud-based software designed to automate the sourcing and procurement process for governments and businesses. Greg is on the Advisory Committee of the Northeastern School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs, and previously served for 10 years as the board chair of Citizens for Safety, a nonprofit focused on preventing gun trafficking in urban neighborhoods.

Bradley McLean is the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer of Nexamp, where he leads the technology group, manages integrations to support both internal and external customers, and supports data initiatives from the management team. Prior to Nexamp, McLean was CTO for Entic Inc., where he optimized HVAC energy conservation efforts. He has also served in senior technology leadership roles for Constant Contact, MyEnergy, Student Universe, and Duraspace. Earlier in his career, McLean worked in applying automation to accounting, library operations, tax preparation, air travel, digital preservation, email marketing, manufacturing costing, and HVAC optimization.

NECEC Institute Board

Amy Duffuor, Principal at Prime Impact Fund, with responsibility to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, lead investments, and serve on the boards of portfolio companies. Her professional background spans business, finance, and impact across three continents. Prior to Prime Impact Fund, Duffuor was a renewables and power investment banker at Bank of America. There, she worked with CEOs of public and private companies to raise investment capital including the IPO of Sunnova (NYSE: NOVA), a residential solar company valued at approximately $1 billion. Before her stint on Wall Street, Duffuor ran early-stage social venture accelerators around Southeast Asia for a Singapore-headquartered impact investing firm called Impact Investment Exchange. Earlier in her career, she was a management consultant at State of Flux, a London-based consulting firm that specializes in supply chain and procurement. She serves on the board of directors for Clean Crop Technologies, a Prime Impact Fund portfolio company. Duffuor holds a B.A. from Columbia University, an M.Phil with Distinction from the University of Oxford, and an MBA from The Wharton School.

Two members of the NECEC boards, Tim Healy and Zaid Ashai, have stepped down and 15 board members were elected to an additional two-year term:
