NECEC today announced that seven outstanding clean energy companies and organizations and two individuals have been selected finalists for its annual Green Tie Gala Awards. Winners will be announced on October 29th at the 8th Annual Green Tie Gala at the Hyatt Regency in Cambridge, Mass.

The event, which brings together more than 400 business leaders in the Northeast clean energy industry, will feature a keynote discussion with clean energy business leaders Mary Powell, CEO and President of Green Mountain Power, and David Danielson, US Department of Energy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The two clean energy business leaders will participate in a fireside chat exploring the rapidly changing business models, strategies and technologies in the clean energy industry, including the transition to a 21st century electricity system that can fully embrace renewables, storage and intelligence at the edge of the grid.
