NECEC commends the Department of Energy Resources and the Baker-Polito Administration for taking an important step to provide solar companies greater flexibility in managing the coronavirus crisis. By extending the SMART deadline by six months, developers will have added assurance that COVID-19-related disruptions won't jeopardize their participation in the solar program that is key to achieving the Commonwealth's solar goals.
