As part of the Northeast Clean Energy Council’s (NECEC) Fourth Annual Maine Clean Energy Day, executives from NECEC member companies will visit the Maine State House today to advocate for the Maine Legislature’s continued support for energy efficiency and solar energy policies that will support the state’s vibrant clean energy industry and bring economic and environmental benefits to the Maine.
“Renewable energy—particularly solar and energy efficiency—have never been a stronger asset to Maine’s economy,” said NECEC President Peter Rothstein. “Home to a vibrant and growing solar and efficiency sector, Maine businesses are helping ratepayers manage their energy use, while expanding clean and affordable energy. Today, we will bring that message to the state’s public and elected officials who already show great leadership in advancing clean energy in Maine.”
